How to vote in Nigeria

Official sources only. Facts come from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Candidates will be added only from INEC’s published final list. Vote Book does not publish polls.

Permanent Voter Card (PVC)

You must present your PVC at your polling unit. It is verified with the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) (INEC).

If you are not registered, or need to transfer or replace your card, use INEC’s online voter registration portal or your INEC local government office. Check INEC notices for current registration and PVC collection deadlines.

Election day

Accreditation and voting run together from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM at your assigned polling unit (INEC).

INEC publishes the official Register of Voters on Dec. 15, 2026 (timetable).
