“I Care. I especially care for the people in our district whom deserve a robust and effective representation in Juneau, My experience as a communicator and mindchanger will offer a strong Southeasterner's voice to support sound policy for all Alaskans. My principles are Conservative and I will carry those values through every work in Juneau. I tend to listen intently to those in disagreement and can usually find common ground with those of differing views.” (Alaska Division of Elections Official Election Pamphlet)
“In cases where agreement can't be found, an ability to compete incessantly for that which is principled and for common good prevails. I believe citizens should be well informed on details of subject matter from their politician. i will follow that belief in open honesty with vigor.” (Alaska Division of Elections Official Election Pamphlet)

Campaign site

“In my first four years as the State Representative for House District 2, I have focused on issues that are critical to our economy, communities, and way of life - public education, fisheries, ferries, and energy. I have a strong record of working with my colleagues - Democrats, Republicans, and other Independents to pass legislation that is good for Southeast and all Alaskans.” (Alaska Division of Elections Official Election Pamphlet)
“I am a proud rural Alaskan and draw deeply on the grit and collaboration that are hallmarks of life in Southeast's coastal communities. My greatest privilege has been addressing the needs of public schools statewide with a focus on stable, predictable funding — our best strategy for a vibrant future — as a member of the House Education Committee.” (Alaska Division of Elections Official Election Pamphlet)
“Additional personal legislation I have sponsored addressed invasive species, improvements to the delivery of state services, and other topics. Going forward I will work to support students and seniors, restore a reasonable pension for public employees such as public safety personnel and teachers, and continue to advocate for a strong education system. As a schoolteacher, I worked with students, parents, and colleagues regardless of ideology. That's how I approach elected office.” (Alaska Division of Elections Official Election Pamphlet)
