“As the #1 ranking legislator in the 40 member House of Representatives next year, I will be well positioned to fight back against urban districts that constantly try to steal our funding. There are only 4 rural districts, and the only way to overcome 36 urban votes is to occupy influential positions. As the co-chair of the powerful finance committee, I have a proven record of sticking up for rural Alaska.” (Alaska Division of Elections Official Election Pamphlet)
“I've stopped attempts to destroy rural Alaska's electric assistance program. If this were dismantled, then every rural household would pay upwards of $3,500 more per year for electricity. In the finance committee, I got the full $3,800 PFD into the House budget. The Senate put a $1,000 PFD into their budget, and it ended up at $1,200. Despite this, I will keep fighting. My position on finance puts us in the best position for future success (like in 2022 when I secured the largest ever PFD totaling $3,284).” (Alaska Division of Elections Official Election Pamphlet)
“In a major win, I secured funding to start the Alaska Heating Assistance Program. This could get many rural families over $4,000 and is paid out like the PFD. I fully funded the senior benefits program to pay our elders $3,000. And I am fighting to get subsistence seats on the Board of Fish so families can put food on the table while living a traditional lifestyle. It has been an honor serving you, and I would appreciate your vote to continue fighting for affordability in rural Alaska.” (Alaska Division of Elections Official Election Pamphlet)

Tyler Ivanoff

com. Tyler Ivanoff is a Nonpartisan candidate for Alaska House of Representatives District 39 on the November 3, 2026 general election ballot.

“Tyler Ivanoff from Shishmaref. I teach 4th Grade. I have 6 children with my beautiful Fiancé Amber Fernandez. I'm running to Represent our people in Western Alaska.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection Survey)
“I'm from Rural Alaska, was born and raised in District 39. I live a subsistence lifestyle, and if elected I plan on protecting our lifestyle for future generations. This includes finding solutions to help our salmon populations rebound. I'm here to protect the Permanent Fund Dividend. My opponent has voted to reduce the PFD in the past. If he did it once, what's stopping him from changing it again. I plan on giving a voice for our region. If elected I will work hard for our people. We need more Representatives from our villages, and by electing me into office it may show others to get the courage to step up as well.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection Survey)
“Food Security, education, and jobs for our people in rural Alaska. We need to improve our infrastructure in our communities. Communities like mine still have no running water. If we get half of our PFD taken away, why can't the legislature fund more projects for our communities? I am to make this known while supporting you down in Juneau.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection Survey)
