Campaign site

“District 5 deserves a representative who puts our communities first. I am running to protect our fisheries, strengthen our ferry system, support quality education, improve healthcare access, and ensure we have a representative who is accountable to the people they serve. FISHERIES Alaska's fisheries are the lifeblood of our economy, culture, and way of life. I will advocate for science-based management and a transparent Board of Fisheries process that protects fish stocks while sustaining fishing families and coastal Alaska.” (Alaska Division of Elections Official Election Pamphlet)
“Our schools must be fully funded, our teachers paid competitively, and parents given a voice in their child's education. Our children deserve access to a quality education that prepares them for success.” (Alaska Division of Elections Official Election Pamphlet)
“ALASKA MARINE HIGHWAY The Alaska Marine Highway is essential to life in coastal Alaska. I will fight for stable funding, reliable service, and longterm planning while supporting investments in ports, airstrips, rural roads, and broadband that keep people, commerce, and opportunity moving. Campaign site

“Growing up in a commercial fishing family in Cordova and spending three decades teaching in Kodiak has given me a deep appreciation for the people who live here. This is a true working-class district, made up of people that I've spent my career working alongside. I care deeply about our community, and I am running because I believe our district deserves steady, practical representation from someone who understands the lives of the people who live here.” (Alaska Division of Elections Official Election Pamphlet)
“My top priorities are achieving a sustainable and balanced fiscal solution for Alaska, strengthening public education, ensuring consistent and reliable Alaska Marine Highway service to coastal communities, addressing food insecurity, and supporting strong fisheries management during the current seafood industry crisis.” (Alaska Division of Elections Official Election Pamphlet)
“As an educator, I know how important it is to invest in students, support educators, and make sure every child has access to a quality education. I will also fight for the basic infrastructure our communities depend on, including stronger ports and harbors, reliable ferries, safe roads, water and sewer improvements, affordable housing development and reliable energy. I believe in listening first, working hard, and bringing people together to solve problems.” (Alaska Division of Elections Official Election Pamphlet)
