What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
An elected official needs to deliver on the promises they made to get elected. A congress person needs to ignore the special interests and their lobbyists and focus on what all their constituents need.
What do you perceive to be the United States' greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?
We need to respect each others differences and have great freedom of choice in how we live our lives. We need to realize that government isn’t always the answer to all our problems. And that when we do need government, the more local the better.
