Florida State Senate District 36

“We can count on Senator Ileana Garcia to stand up for Miami-Dade Priorities. Ileana is dedicated to protecting the future of our South Florida community, and will continue to secure huge victories for the people of District 36 while ensuring they always have a voice in Tallahassee.” (Campaign website (ileanagarcia.com))

“Here is something Tallahassee does not advertise. There are federal dollars — our own tax dollars — available to cover working people in this community who fall in the gap: earning too much to qualify for help and too little to afford a plan.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection (2026))

“I’m running because District 36 deserves a representative focused on the pressures families face every day: rising housing and insurance costs, the cost of living, and the growing threat of sea-level rise.” (Campaign website (votegeorgelavin.com))

★ Who Answers For It?: “District 36 deserves someone in Tallahassee who answers to you, and only to you. That is what I am offering: I will show up, I will tell you the truth about what this office can and cannot do, and I will measure every vote by who it actually serves.” (Campaign website (votegeorgelavin.com))
