Representing the People Directly Legislate Carefully and Deliberately Protect Liberty Against Government Overreach Control Taxation and Spending Oversee the Executive Branch Resist Corruption and Special Interests Preserve the Constitutional Balance
What do you perceive to be the United States' greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?
I believe the greatest challenge our nation will face over the next decade will be whether we as people stand for our liberties and restore our freedoms by reforming our systems to better reflect the genius of the enlightenment principles of self government.
Do you believe that compromise is necessary or desirable for policymaking?
Do I think compromise is necessary or desirable; it depends on the situation. If the situation is giving up liberties and freedoms to compromise with perceived safety concerns, no. I believe small compromises over tax codes or spending are most likely inevitable but large policy compromises are not desirable. Compromise should be used to stabilize the republic not tear it down.
What is something that has been a struggle in your life?
Money, My family has always struggled with getting ahead in life.
