Statewide constitutional amendments (on every Georgia ballot)

Yes/No explanations are Vote Book’s plain-English reading of the official ballot question and summary; the ballot wording is quoted exactly. There are no statewide referendum questions in 2026.

Amendment 1: Conservation-use farmland acreage

House Resolution No. 32 (Ga. L. 2025, p. 1081)

A Yes vote means: The most land that can qualify for Georgia's lower conservation-use property tax assessment doubles, from 2,000 acres to 4,000 acres.

A No vote means: The limit stays at 2,000 acres.

Official ballot wording
Shall the Constitution of Georgia, for the purpose of protecting family farmland, be amended so as to increase the maximum acreage to qualify for assessment and taxation as a bona fide conservation use property from 2,000 acres to 4,000 acres?

Amendment 2: Nonpartisan probate judge elections

House Resolution No. 251 (Ga. L. 2026, p. 1110)

A Yes vote means: All probate court judges in Georgia would be elected in nonpartisan elections (no party label on the ballot).

A No vote means: The constitution is not changed to require nonpartisan elections for all probate judges.

Official ballot wording
Shall the Constitution of Georgia be amended so as to require that all probate court judges be elected in nonpartisan elections?

Amendment 3: Emergency 9-1-1 fund

House Resolution No. 1243 (Ga. L. 2026, p. 1109)

A Yes vote means: Lawmakers could set aside certain existing state revenues in a fund that does not expire at year-end, to be spent only on expanding, maintaining and running 9-1-1 systems.

A No vote means: Lawmakers would not get this constitutional authority to dedicate those revenues to a 9-1-1 fund.

Official ballot wording
Shall the Constitution of Georgia be amended so as to authorize the General Assembly to dedicate certain existing revenues, including revenues reallocated by law, to a nonlapsing fund to be used exclusively for the expansion, maintenance, and operation of emergency 9-1-1 systems in this state?
