“I am a registered nurse who retired from the Department of Veteran's Affairs after 17-years of service. While a federal employee I was prohibited from running for office due to Hatch Act restrictions. Now that I am no longer a federal employee I am seeking the opportunity to expand my service to the state of Indiana to assure that the state legislature expands individual rights instead of using a supermajority to restrict them.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection survey)
“I strongly favor a woman's right to choose how to manage her own pregnancy, without interference from the church or state. This is one of the most basic human rights issues of our time.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection survey)
“I strongly support public education and will fight to end our wasteful voucher system. Republicans are undermining Indiana’s public education system by sending millions of taxpayer dollars to charter and private schools—funds that public schools sorely need to provide a quality education.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection survey)

“I'm saddened to hear the reports of injuries and damage in our community from the severe storm last night. I'm praying for the individuals who were hurt, and those whose homes and businesses are damaged. My sincere thanks go out to the men and women on the front lines who are helping with this situation, from our local first responders to Indiana's Task Force 1 and the Indiana State Police. I'll continue to monitor the situation and help share updates on resources as they become available.” (Official legislative website)
“The Supreme Court has rightfully returned the question of abortion back to the states, giving us the green light to further protect life in Indiana. As a legislator and a father, I will always support protecting life at every step of the way, and I look forward to going back to the Statehouse soon to do just that.” (Official legislative website)
“Indiana deeply respects and values the lives of all Hoosiers, including the unborn and their mothers. Fighting for the rights of those who can't fight for themselves is one of the most important things we can do as legislators, and I'm eager to return to the Statehouse to take action to support life.” (Official legislative website)
