Maryland State House District 33B

“I want to represent you in the General Assembly because I believe in the dignity of hard work and want to honor workers, small business owners, and their families in central Anne Arundel County.” (Campaign website (cookfordelegate.com))

“Working families and small business owners make this county, state, and country possible, and it's far past time we had a Delegate that valued them and what they do, every day.” (Campaign website (cookfordelegate.com))

“After waiting four and half hours, my witnesses—Marylanders from across our state and national voting rights advocates spoke powerfully in support of my bill, HB496, that calls for open primaries. One veteran flew 7,000 miles from Doha where he’s working to advocate for his voting rights in his home state.” (Campaign website (vote4stu.com))

“Many independents are party-averse immigrants (especially Latinos and Asians), young people (over half of millennials and GenZs as independents), and, as I learned recently, our veterans, who fought for our country and our rights, but now find their voting rights impeded by our closed primary elections.” (Campaign website (vote4stu.com))
