I believe our district deserves leadership that understands the people who live here, the challenges we face, and the opportunities we share.”
(Campaign website) Priorities & campaign themes: “Our district is changing, growing, and becoming more diverse in its ideas and priorities. I’m running to make sure our representation reflects that future. Together, we can build a Michigan where families can thrive, communities stay strong, and a government that works for the people.”

Elections, voting & government reform: “I am running for re-election in the 49th District which includes Brighton City and Township, Green Oak Township, New Hudson area in Lyon Township, Walled Lake, Wixom and a small portion of Commerce Township and Novi. I previously served as the State Representative in the 42nd District which included Genoa, Green Oak, Hamburg, Putnam and Brighton Townships, the City of Brighton, and the Village of Pinckney prior to redistricting in 2022.”
(Campaign website) Priorities & campaign themes: “I have successfully navigated the Lansing landscape to ensure that the conservative voices of those I represent are heard. I have made it a priority to continue to be active in the district, to work with you, and for you. I take pride in being accessible, approachable, and accountable, and I believe the best solutions are found by and through the people – not the government.”
(Campaign website) Economy, jobs & cost of living: “One of my top priorities coming to Lansing was to be a budget hawk and my committee assignments have enabled me to do that. I serve as the Chair of the House Appropriations Committee and lead the development of the State’s budget. I successfully negotiated spending cuts, reduction of overlapping programs, and worked hard to find solutions based on cash on hand – NOT on the backs of Michigan families and small businesses.”
(Campaign website) Economy, jobs & cost of living: “I remain committed to ensuring our area is the best place to raise a family, live, work and play. We have a resilient economy, strong communities, safe streets, excellent educational opportunities - things that lead to strong families and a great sense of community. Together we face many challenges. However, I do believe we can return Michigan to prosperity by working together responsibly and sensibly.”
