Elections, voting & government reform: “Voting serves all of us. Thank you for your commitment.”
(Campaign website) Taxes & budget: “My prior 10 years of experience on the Mount Clemens City Commission has offered valuable lessons. I have experience with municipal budgets, taxes, enterprise funds, and special assessments. I have learned when to compromise and when to stand up and hold my ground. I have learned to listen. I’m known for doing my homework on any issue that comes before the commission and being a budget hawk.”
(Campaign website) Elections, voting & government reform: “I pushed for quarterly departmental reports to be made at City Commission meetings to improve transparency. In the State Legislature, I voted to establish an Ethics and Oversight Committee and helped pass the BRITE Act, which increased reporting and disclosure requirements for registered lobbyists and required state-level public officials to submit comprehensive financial records on an annual basis.”
(Campaign website) Taxes & budget: “I also voted to REPEAL Michigan's pension tax on seniors and to give working and middle class families a tax break. I helped secure $10 million in the state budget over the past two years to demolish the old and abandoned Victory Inn and replace it with hundreds of new construction units right here in Macomb County .”

Education & schools: “The reading retention bill, which allows 3rd graders to be promoted to 4th grade, even if they are several grades behind in reading comprehension did nothing to advance the education of our students. This is just plain wrong.”
(Campaign website) Infrastructure & transportation: “I am excited to work with the House Republicans and their Roads plan, to not only fix our roads but to also have oversite on how they are repaired and replaced so they have a long lifespan.”
(Campaign website) Immigration & border: “Michiganders need to understand, we are a border state. There are many Illegal immigrants, criminally coming across our northern border, this along with several counties declaring their sanctuary County status with their sheriffs saying they will not honor the ICE retainer agreement.”
