(Campaign website) Education & schools: “Hello! My name is Chris Gilmer-Hill, and I’m running for State Representative in District 8. I’m a lifelong Detroiter, democratic socialist, environmental justice advocate, and proud union member. I’m running to fight to lower costs and empower and support working people in our communities, workplaces, schools.”
(Campaign website) Abortion & reproductive rights: “My family has called parts of our district home ever since my great-grandma moved up to Russell Woods from Monroe, Louisiana. I believe we need leaders who are connected to their communities - that’s why I came back home to work in Detroit after graduating college, and it’s why I’ve served my neighborhood as a Democratic Precinct Delegate for the last two years.”
(Campaign website) Priorities & campaign themes: “I believe we need a state rep who will fight for us. We need someone who’s committed to working for our district, not for DTE and corporate interests in Lansing. I’m not taking any corporate money for my campaign - that means you can count on me to work for you and your community.”

(Campaign website) Housing: “My political alignment is closest to US Green Party . (Campaign website) Priorities & campaign themes: “Each day each of us has the ability to “ connect people with possibility “, how are you engaged? Normal has never offered change or evolution, so why are we asked to be normal? Be unpredictably bold as a free spirit encountering life. Take the mistakes as ‘missed takes’ and learn from them.”
(Campaign website) Housing: “I have a few websites and plenty of social network accounts. I’ve found the current systems we have are being confronted by the interest of people to know how things have come to be the way they are, and not like things are great. I’m outspoken enough to have lost access a few times.”
