Current seat holder: Nelly Nicol (R).
Troy Charbonneau (Republican) I spent more than 20 years with the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office serving as a patrol deputy, detective, school resource officer, and crimes against children investigator. I served as an SRO at Canyon Creek, Elder Grove, and Broadview Schools, working closely with students, parents, and teachers while helping keep schools safe. My career gave me firsthand experience with the challenges facing Montana families, rural communities, law enforcement, and public safety. Today, I continue serving the community as a paramedic with Laurel EMS, responding to emergencies and helping people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I’m running for the Montana House because I believe our communities deserve accountable leadership focused on practical solutions, fiscal responsibility, and conservative values. My priorities include lowering property taxes, supporting law enforcement and first responders, protecting constitutional rights, strengthening rural healthcare and EMS services, and ensuring government remains transparent and accountable.
Matthew Hankins (Democratic) Matthew Hankins qualified with the Montana Secretary of State to appear on the November 3, 2026 general election ballot for House District 53.
