Healthcare & reproductive rights: “We are seeing more of the states healthcare resources be allocated to high population areas. Reduction in funding of programs in this area means a drastic decline in our services, including the closure of medical facilities. This can often mean a commute of 1-2 hours for adequate medical care. We need to make sure we secure these resources from the state to ensure we receive not just adequate, but excellent heath care in our communities.”

Taxes, budget & cost of living: “I am running to help working families in Jackson, Swain and Transylvania counties. You need someone who will listen to you and give voice to your concerns in Raleigh. State legislators should be accountable to voters, and should focus more on issues that matter to your family. We need access to affordable health care and housing, and we must invest in our public schools. I’ll encourage economic growth that produces jobs that pay a living wage, so that the people who work here can afford to live here.”
(Campaign website (accessed Oct 23, 2026)) Jobs, economy & workforce: “Our workers deserve a living wage, and our government should support affordable housing efforts. I’ll lobby for more state resources for infrastructure and high-speed internet in WNC so we can keep the businesses we have – and attract new ones.”
(Campaign website (accessed Oct 23, 2026)) Healthcare & reproductive rights: “I’ll fight to protect the expansion of Medicare coverage, which helps so many. Privatized health services, which are vital to our rural communities, must deliver the services they promised. And we have to get serious about ensuring affordable healthcare for everyone.”
