Democracy, elections & governance: “American Democracy is under attack and NC needs leaders that will protect our way of governing in a fair and representative way. We must end gerrymandering and again allow the fundamental freedom of voting to occur uninfringed.”
(Ballotpedia Candidate Connection survey (2022)) Public education & schools: “As an educator, and former mental health counselor, those are two areas I am passionate about. I truly believe that adequate investment in a sound basic public education system is one of the most important things we can do for a better community, state, nation, and world. From universal pre-K, to K-12, to the community colleges and state universities, North Carolinians deserve a well-educated populace. Shared prosperity will come from shared critical thinking abilities.”
