I often wonder why some legislators are even in the chamber because it seems all they wish to do is make a name for themselves. That is not what this work is about. Building relationships with fellow legislators allows better outcomes for the voters. Would a state ballot initiative process be good or bad for your state?: “The ballot initiative process would be an excellent addition to North Carolina's democracy. The ballot initiative process is the most direct form of democracy that America has. The people of North Carolina deserve to be hear on issue that impact them. Currently North Carolina has the constitutional amendments or bonds that are directly voted on by the people. I would envision a process that allows citizens of the state to be able to setup ballot initiatives and referendums via signatures or other requirements.
