Source: Fulton County Board of Elections, 2026 General Election sample ballots (32 municipality and district PDFs) (accessed Oct 19, 2026). Names are shown as listed by the source. Which district races you see depends on where you live; check yours at New York voter lookup (State Board of Elections).
| Office | Candidates |
|---|---|
| City & town offices | |
| Town Justice, Town of Broadalbin | Joseph W. Gilston Sr. (R) vs. Susan S. DeRocker (C) |
| Council Member (vacancy), Town of Johnstown | Edward C. Sturgess Jr. (R) vs. Timothy J. Rizzo (C, Liberty Bell) |
Also on every Fulton County ballot: Governor, Comptroller, Attorney General, your U.S. House district, your State Senate and Assembly districts and any statewide proposals.
Read from the ballot PDFs with a grid parser, with the Johnstown Town Justice column checked against the word positions. No candidate is printed for the City of Gloversville Member of Water Board (1-year vacancy) or the City of Johnstown Council Member At-Large (vacancy). The Ephratah ballot has no town offices. Supreme Court (4th Judicial District) is omitted.
Party lines as printed by the county board (D = Democratic, R = Republican, C = Conservative, WF = Working Families; other parties and independent lines are spelled out). New York allows "fusion" voting: a candidate can appear on several party lines, and the votes on every line count together.
Town, city and village races are listed under each municipality; you vote only in the ones where you live, and county legislature and court races by district. Governor, U.S. House, State Senate and Assembly are on the state page. Seats per race ("Vote for N") are as printed by the board; where the board's list does not say, the page shows "see your ballot".
One candidate per seat on the list (write-ins may still be possible).
