Where Riley stands

Position history

Governance

  1. Sep. 26, 2026 (in a candidate statement to the Daily Freeman on ethics and political reform)
Corruption in our political system has rigged our economy against everyday people. That's why I wrote the Drain the Swamp Act, the most comprehensive government reform legislation introduced in the House. It would ban corporate PACs, overturn Citizens United, impose term limits on politicians and the Supreme Court, end partisan gerrymandering, and ban politicians from holding or trading stock in office.

Taxes & spending

  1. Oct. 28, 2026 (in an interview with WBNG 12 News on utility monopolies and rate hikes)
The system is rigged in favor of the utility monopolies and against upstate New Yorkers. So, we need to completely overhaul that rigged system. Part of it is my proposal to ban foreign corporations from owning American utility companies.
