“Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the financial security of many members of my community has been damaged. It has disproportionately hit small local businesses; those with lower incomes; single households; Asian, Black, Hispanic, Latin American, and Indigenous populations; and those without college degrees. I want to bring meaningful progress to those most impacted by increasing the minimum wage, creating a paid family and medical leave program, and ensuring money stay in the pockets of working families.”
