Education & schools: “My name is Caleb McCoy. I grew up in Altoona as the oldest of 7 children. We grew up in a loving and very devout household. Our mom became sick and eventually passed away from cancer while I was in high school, something that had a profound impact on my understanding of the world. I graduated in 2007 having already joined the Pennsylvania Army National Guard which I served in until 2012 when I completed my contract and was honorably discharged. During that time I went to Penn State where I met my wife Stephanie before I switched schools to get a degree in Nursing from Mount Aloysius while working full time as an aid to support myself.”
