Taxes & budget: “Supported balanced budgets that never raised taxes and didn’t balloon debt. Pushed for needed property, sales, and income tax relief to make living more affordable. Opposed new taxes on energy and fought against utility hikes. Fought to preserve our open space and farmland against runaway data center growth. Voluntarily opted out of receiving the taxpayer funded pension – serving taxpayers, not himself.” (Campaign website)
