“I believe every South Dakotan should have access to free high quality public education, affordable healthcare, fair labor practices and a fair tax burden” (Candidate Campaign Website)
“Around the country we have seen generative AI (AGI) companies like OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), and more construct massive data centers. The result has been higher energy costs, environmental concerns and noise and light polution that has reportedly made people sick. We must pass a moritorium on AGI and crypto mining data centers. South Dakota is open for business but we are not for sale.” (Candidate Campaign Website)
“The public school system is the backbone of society. Our public education is not failing our state, our state is failing our public education system. Legislatures have failed to meet the annual increase of 3% or inflation, whichever is less, an increase that is required by law. This needs to change.” (Candidate Campaign Website)

“The main reason I am running for legislature is because I believe we need to focus on productive legislation. The people of District 17 and all South Dakotans, deserve leadership that is focused on solving problems and delivering results. Too often, we see leaders celebrate half-finished work while the challenges facing our communities remain unresolved. We have real work to do, and I am ready to roll up my sleeves and do it.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection Survey)
“I am most passionate about listening to South Dakotans and legislating in a responsible, productive way. My priority is making sure access to healthcare is not decreased, especially for our most vulnerable neighbors. Education and elder care are also at the top of my list. We must invest in the people and communities that allow us to take care of one another. That also means pursuing an economic policy that works for everyone: families, workers, seniors, and small businesses across South Dakota.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection Survey)

“My children are at the heart of every decision I make. This includes running for the legislature. Our pro-business, low tax, low regulation, and fiscal policy approaches have afforded me many opportunities in SE South Dakota. I have spent more than 20 years living in Vermillion. I want to ensure even better opportunities are available for my children and South Dakota's future generations.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection Survey)
“As a legislator, I will fight to ensure that the next generation has access to even greater opportunities in the decades ahead. South Dakota was built on a foundation of values that are in-line with what's most important to me: Keeping government small and responsive to the citizens. Keeping taxes and regulations low, providing for a pro-business atmosphere. A way of life that is cherished by all of us who are fortunate to live in this great state.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection Survey)
