“Since 2021, it has been my privilege to represent District 14 in the South Dakota Senate. Previous to serving in the Senate, I served District 14 in the South Dakota House of Representatives for six years. My career has been devoted to working on important state issues including education and economic development. Ensuring our students are equipped for the future job market is a top priority. I support pro-business policies that cut red tape and allow businesses to innovate and create jobs. Assisting veterans to navigate the benefits available to them honors the service they gave as members of our military.”
(Candidate Campaign Website) “Like many South Dakotans, I grew up in a farming community and worked at a variety of jobs in the field, raising livestock, and fixing farm equipment. In high school I played football, basketball, baseball and participated in track. Throughout these years, my parents taught me the importance of good character and hard work.”
(Candidate Campaign Website) “After high school graduation I spent a year working in the construction industry with heavy equipment, before entering college. While working toward an Associate of Arts degree and playing on my college basketball team, I continued to work at a variety of jobs to pay my tuition.”
