As a chairman on the Appropriations Committee, I’m focused on cutting waste while bringing resources to TX-31 for infrastructure improvements, public safety, and military and veterans. For example, last month I broke ground on a new Round Rock veterans’ clinic, and I’m currently working on securing another clinic in Georgetown.
Texas is home to 1.4 million veterans. We need to expand veteran care opportunities, and I’m proud to do that as chairman of Veterans Affairs Appropriations. It’s also important that we continue investments in roads and energy infrastructure because they have a direct impact on the strength of our economy.
