“I’m running for State Senate because our community should be a place where families can build a promising future — just as mine did. This means great schools; affordable, quality healthcare and childcare; good paying jobs that provide enough to feed our families; a clean environment; and a democracy that includes all of us.” (WA Secretary of State 2026 General Election Voters' Pamphlet)
“When you first elected me, I promised to deliver for you. So far, we’ve won on the Millionaire’s Tax, a statewide low-income utility bill assistance program, rent stabilization, our strong Washington Voting Rights Act, combating federal overreach, and much more.” (WA Secretary of State 2026 General Election Voters' Pamphlet)
“Growing up in the Tri-Cities, I learned a love for service from my mother, my family, and a community that always showed up for one another. I learned early that when people come together — even when resources are scarce — community itself becomes the most powerful resource we have.” (Campaign website (sharlettmena.org))
