“Restoring sanity and community values to the northern panhandle of West Virginia. It's time we start taking care of each other again.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection Survey)
“Teachers in West Virginia are shamefully underappreciated and underpaid, and the dismantling of public education stops when I get to take our voice to the capital. Seniors are a priority. People 65 and older, and the demographic just below that (50-64) are used as political capital by our incumbent, and faith and kindness are weaponized against them. Our seniors need to understand their options for healthcare, paying property taxes, and benefits that come with being active, contributing members of our community their entire lives. Enough is enough and its time for a new generation of voices in our state legislature.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection Survey)

“It's self loaded to make it easier on our first responders when they're out at a call to take somebody to the hospital, makes it easier to get in the ambulance and make sure we take care of not just them, the patients, but also our first responders who are there,” (WTOV Steubenville)
“This slate of candidates I've seen is very accessible, myself included,” (WTOV Steubenville)
“We've tried to be in the community as much as possible. And when that goes from your congressman to your county commission candidates, that means you got a good slate that's gonna do the work for the people. And here in West Virginia, we've seen results over the last few years that have shown that what we're doing is working as we continue down this road.” (WTOV Steubenville)

Campaign site

“Whether I'm down in Charleston in the legislature wearing a suit and tie, or on the job site wearing steel toes and a hardhat —” (Dave Cantrell Campaign Website)
“PROTECT WOMEN AND CHILDREN Safeguard reproductive freedom and rights Hold abusers accountable Fix the broken foster care system Strengthen our public schools” (Dave Cantrell Campaign Website)
“As someone who's actually from the working class, I've experienced firsthand the struggles of everyday life. I've faced layoffs, stood in unemployment lines, and lived paycheck to paycheck. Early in our marriage, my wife and I relied on WIC benefits with our first child. When work wasn't in our area, I traveled out of town, sometimes weeks or months away, to make sure we kept a roof over our heads, clothes on our backs, and food on the table. I know what it's like to feel like the system wasn't built for people like us — and that's exactly why I'm fighting to change it.” (Dave Cantrell Campaign Website)
