West Virginia State House District 55

Current seat holder: James Robert "JB" Akers II (Republican).

Anthony Dasaro

Anthony Dasaro is an internal medicine physician who earned his bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and his graduate degree from the State University of New York, Buffalo. He subsequently earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and completed his medical residency in internal medicine at the UCLA Medical Center. He says he wants to focus on funding state health insurance programs and has built his platform on public health, local resource protections and labor advocacy. He says he’s interested in putting guardrails on incoming business, especially data centers. His other priorities include medical accountability, Public Employee Health Insurance (PEIA) and municipal oversight of large tech developments. Dasaro practices internal medicine and hospital medicine in Charleston, West Virginia. He says he’s big on labor advocacy because his father served as vice president of the New York City Workers Union, representing municipal trade workers. Dasaro is endorsed by the WV AFL-CIO.

“Listening is a start, but it isn't a solution. I'm not just here to hear your concerns, I'm here to turn them into measurable results. From protecting our public health and stabilizing PEIA to defending our local resources, I'm bringing a "Results Contract" to the House of Delegates.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection Survey)
“I will defend our state's immunization standards based on data and science, not political trends. I will demand an audit of the state budget to ensure we are prioritizing PEIA and our teachers over partisan pet projects. I will fight for local control over data center development to protect our water rights and energy future.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection Survey)
