“My #1 priority is to fix our broken West Virginia public school system. I firmly believe that education IS the key to solving most of life's problems. We need to fully fund our public schools. We have enough money to pay for the education our children NEED, if we are willing to do without some of the government programs that we WANT. Children cannot learn until their basic needs are met. Therefore, we need to provide wrap-around services (including mental health resources), as well as alternative and vocational educational programs.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection Survey)
“I am extremely passionate about education, our constitutional and civil rights, and caring for the poor.” (Ballotpedia Candidate Connection Survey)
