All 14 counties · General election Tuesday, Nov 3, 2026
Vermont has 14 counties with very little county government. Every four years, including 2026, each county elects a probate judge, two assistant judges, a state's attorney, a sheriff and a high bailiff. Towns also elect justices of the peace on Nov 3.
Every county page is copied from the Secretary of State's official 2026 general election qualified candidates list.
